Ten days before the first Pentecost, Jesus told his followers to wait for the "promise of the Father."
But theirs was not a passive waiting -- instead, they waited eagerly by praying together earnestly.
They sought God zealously, their hearts aligned with "one mind" towards the promises of the Kingdom of God
that Jesus had taught them.
In 2005, almost two millenia later, the followers of Jesus will again unite in fervent day & night prayer.
For ten days & nights leading up to the Global Day of Prayer on May 15, the planet is praying.
Here in Austin & Central Texas, should not our voice be joined in with the worldwide chorus?
Austin House of Prayer has opened its prayer room
to the churches in the city and region, inviting individuals and
teams to take on-site sessions to create united 24/7 prayer from May 5 through to May 15.
Together, we are doing it! The days that we live in cry out for our very best ... the multitude around
the throne of God cry out "He is Worthy" ... and the deep desires of all in our city cry out to know
the love of the Father.
