Welcome!!
We invite you to join us in helping to establish 24/7 prayer in the city of Austin.
For God -- Who is Worthy!
In our time-driven culture, one of the greatest expressions of love is to give another
person your undivided attention. This is the core of our vision for day & night
praise and prayer -- that Jesus, the Lamb Who was slain, is worthy of this honor from us.
For the Church -- who is beautiful!
Followers of Jesus are at their best visibly united in giving Him glory. John says
the church has a "voice like many waters" (Rev. 19:6) -- one voice composed of many tribes &
cultures & languages. Let's find that voice in our generation.
For ourselves -- who were made to love Him!
The Westminster confession says that "The chief end of man is the glorify God and
enjoy Him forever." During the 10 Days of 24/7 Prayer, many in the city learned
one of the secrets of the prayer room -- that prayer can be
enjoyable!
For our city -- who are thirsty!
Many people in Austin are in desperate need of reconciliation with their Father who
created them and is calling them in love to return to Him. "Let all who are thirsty
come and drink freely of the water of life."
Here are the first 10 minutes of the video, the last 3 minutes are not available yet due to YouTube restrictions.
PRAYER -- night & day
Our goal is to see the prayer room filled 24/7/365.
Our community will facilitate this, but it's up to
individuals and teams from all over Central Texas to
make it happen.
You can help!
We'd love for you to request a regular session in the prayer room --
just email your request to
Caroline.
Thank you!
HOSPITALITY -- anyone can visit
We welcome you to come and visit our prayer room.

for a map and directions. If you are interested in
scheduling a personal or small-group retreat, please
contact us.
You can help!
We need volunteers to be doorkeepers. It's easy -- you just
need to be present at the prayer room for one morning, afternoon,
or evening a week.
Please contact Thomas Cogdell.
COMMUNITY -- in progress
We are an intentional community, but are still very much
in the formative stages. Community structures are still
being formed, but we are making substantive progress.
If you'd like to get a glimpse into the AHOP Community,
come visit us on Friday nights for dinner (6pm) and prayer (8pm).
Note that while prayer is always in the prayer room, dinner
rotates to various locations, you should
subscribe to the email list
so that you will receive notification of where it is each week.
WORK -- Laboring together
Facilitating a prayer room takes work!
We knows that God sees as precious every act we do to maintain a prayer room,
invite followers of Jesus to come and pray, support local church and city-wide prayer initiatives,
and keep a non-profit running!
We also see our work as a vital way to build community
and increase our love for one another -- it's one thing to pray together,
and another to clean toilets side by side!
